Witchblade

Witchblade is an amazing comic, not so much for the story (in my opinion),
but for the amazing artwork done by the amazing late Michael Turner.
I could have done a simpler picture, although all of his work is FAR from simple,
but I couldn't find a better image to re-create than this one.
The details in it made my hand hurt just to look at it, but I knew I had to try.
If you're gonna do something...do it all the way!
The above is the finish outline with some detail already added in.
I was suppose to take a picture of the rough sketch,
but i constantly forget to do that because I get lost in my drawing.

After finishing the inking, I started to rub away the pencil work.
And oddly enough, the residue of the eraser added a sort of 'dirty' detail that is actually in a lot of his work.
I knew I was taking an odd picture, but I loved the way it looked, so I decided to capture it anyways.

This is the finished inked work. It looks so beautiful on it's own like this.
And it's where you can really appreciate the detailed work that goes in
before it gets kinds of blurred away once the pencil work gets added in.
I stared at it for quite a while before I had the heart to keep going.

This is the finish work. As you can see, it really changes from the ink work to the finished work.
I really kinda wish that I didn't fill it in, but I don't do things halfway.
And I know I wouldn't be satisfied unless I finished it all the way through.
But it's still beautiful and I'm glad I captured the ink work and was pleased I could capture Turners work.
